Travis Johnson – Executive Producer, Director, DP
Travis Johnson is an Emmy award winning Director of Photography with more than 30 years of broadcast experience in all genre’s including scripted, reality, documentary and magazine television shows. Travis is a 1981 graduate of Marshfield High School and a journalism major at the University of Oregon. As a kid growing up in Coos Bay, he was coached by Pre’s Head Coach Walt McClure during the summer youth track programs. Later in high school, Travis was coached by Pre’s coach Phil Pursian in track and cross country.
Brad Jenkins – Executive Producer, Capital Campaign
Brad Jenkins inspired the idea of “Pre’s People” after finding an old poster promoting Pre’s 1975 Finnish Tour Meet in Coos Bay. When Brad shared the photo with a few Coos Bay folks, stories never told about Pre were discovered as well as old photos and home movie footage. Brad teamed up with life-long friend Travis and together, the two criss-crossed the state interviewing more than 50 people including Pre’s high school coaches, teammates, competitors, classmates, friends and fans. Their journey started in 2011…nine years later “Pre’s People” hopes to educate and inspire a new generation of runners. Brad is a 1981 graduate of Marshfield High School and a recreational communication major at Chico State. As a kid growing up in Coos Bay, he was coached by Pre’s Head Coach Walt McClure during the summer youth track programs. Later in high school, Brad played football and was coached by a highly respected group of coaches from Marshfield.
George Whitty – Composer
George Whitty is a Grammy-winning keyboardist, producer, composer, and instructor. He has spent 20 years playing on the road with the Brecker Brothers, Herbie Hancock, David Sanborn, Richard Bona, Chaka Khan, Sadao Watanabe, and a dozen others. His resume as a session musician includes work on several best-selling records including Santana’s Supernatural, and Celine Dion’s Falling into You and These Are Special Times. He’s currently working on a number of music projects, conducting clinics and master classes, and teaching private lessons around the world. George is a 1980 graduate of Marshfield High School and was active in the Pirates Jazz Band.
